Jennifer Elwood has accepted an opportunity to pursue a teaching career full-time with the Forsyth County School district. While she will not be serving on our staff team, Jennifer and her family will continue to attend Stonecreek and serve in volunteer capacities in our ministries. Jennifer was a volunteer in our ministry long before taking a staff position. She stepped in at a crucial time in our ministry and we love her for it! We are grateful for Jennifer's leadership and investment in our Preschool Ministry, and pray God's continued leadership in her life for her new opportunity. Jennifer has served part-time as our director of preschool ministries since 2007.
Christy Brogden will be serving as our new Director of Preschool Ministries. Christy is no stranger to our preschool ministries, having served as its leader from 2004-2008. She returns to Splash!, our preschool environment, after serving as director of Kidzu, our elementary children's environment, since 2008. We are excited to see Christy continue providing leadership to children and families in this new ministry assignment. Christy is a proven leader with a passion to see children and families pursue life in Jesus.
Cindy Tuttle has served as our Creative Director for Kidzu since 2008. She will now be serving the broader church communications media as Communications Coordinator as well as facilitating our First Impressions Teams on Sunday mornings. As we say, people won't know that they matter to God unless we show them how much they matter to us. Everyone who attends Stonecreek needs to know that they matter to us. Cindy's enthusiasm will certainly be contagious as she assists in creating a welcoming and meaningful experience to facilitate attenders Sunday mornings at Stonecreek.
Please pray for your leadership team as we conduct a closed search for a new full-time Director of Children's Ministry to oversee our Kidzu environment and ministry to 1st through 5th grade students. We are grateful for our committed volunteer leadership who are serving during our transition and leading children to pursue life in Jesus as their greatest passion. During the month of July, Jason Howard, our director of adult ministries, will serve as a transitional point-of-contact for our Kidzu volunteer leaders and families.
Thank you, Stonecreek, for your support and prayers for your staff team as we lead people to pursue life in Jesus as their greatest passion.
