Another lesson you learn about life from a tent is that things get messy. While on my last outing, one man asked me if I needed sunscreen - because it had spilled all in his backpack and he was having to clean it out. We call that a big 'o mess.
Also, nothing can be kept in it's place - because nothing has a place. There are no drawers or shelves to help organize. It's just messy.
Life is the same way. We live in the tension of God wanting His kingdom to be established, and the fact that we're not there yet. It's messy. People get sick, angry, frustrated, disappointed, and sad. But we also experience hope, joy, love, kindness, and passion.
It's a mess. But not for long.
