I believe that laughing at yourself can be a spiritual discipline! As a public speaker, there are times when words come out of my mouth in a way that I did not intend. It's inevitable - and funny! I had one of those experiences recently, and had a good laugh at the words I used.
It's good to be able to laugh at yourself and not get defensive. If you can't laugh at yourself regularly, I think that is a character red flag. It may be that something other than God is defining you, or you care too much what other people think. When is the last time you laughed at yourself?
