Over the years I’ve had the privilege of working with some great staff members. It’s a great experience to labor with others at expanding the kingdom. Sometimes those staff members move on to take different assignments to serve at another church. While relationally it may seem disappointing, when viewed with a kingdom mindset it allows us to see beyond our small world to the kingdom God is building.
We have come upon one of those kingdom building moments now. Our Worship Leader, Mark Brown, will be accepting a position as the Creative Director and Worship Leader at Cedar Creek Church in Aiken, SC. It’s an opportunity for Mark to expand his influence and impact.
Mark was actually the first person that I had the privilege of hiring 7 years ago. He began in our student ministry and has been our Worship Leader for over 3 years. He has been a great asset to our team, and helped us in our mission. I’ve always said that if my kids grew up with the character of Mark Brown, I would be very proud.
Mark's last Sunday with us will be May 15. After our services you will want to take the opportunity to give Mark and Carla a hug, encourage them, and offer them your blessing.
We are grateful for Mark, his family, and all that God has done through him. We wish him God’s blessing, and pray that his impact for the kingdom continues to expand.
